Hi, I have freemind 1.0 beta 5 (max), using it on Window 7 64bit. Java 1.5.23 (32 bit).

My freemind is setup to open the last used documents. Every morning, when I startup my PC and open freemind, I have this issue: 2 .mm files are opened but the main one I see has half of the childs in "bold". It seems a visual/rendering bug. As soon as I move the map the artifacts go away and the map is displayed perfectly. If I close freemind and open it again, the problem is not there anymore.

It happens only the first time I open freemind. So when I shuit down the machine and boot it again, and open freemind, I'll have the same problem. I will add later a screenshot so you see what I mean.

  • Hi,

I don't think, that this is a FreeMind bug. Br, Chris

  • Dear FreeMind user,

the bug you've reported seems to be a general Java issue. This normally can't be fixed inside FreeMind easily.
To verify this, please take some other pure Java based tools (like jedit (http://jedit.sourceforge.net/) for example) and try to observe this behaviour. Please, note that Eclipse based applications are not compareable with FreeMind as a complete different graphical user interface design (ie. SWT instead of Swing) is used.

If you still think that this is a specific FreeMind issue, please reopen this bug.

    Regards,

    Chris
