While I was looking at the code at the end of "glutInit"
(freeglut_init.c, lines 508-555 or so), a question occurred to me. This
section of the code parses a string pointed to by the variable
"geometrySettings". According to the GLUT documentation, the string
contains the window dimensions in the form "WxH+X+Y". While my knowledge of
XWindows is severely limited, rather than a call to "XParseGeometry" can we
have a simple call to "sscanf"? I would think the following would work:
sscanf ( geometrySettings, "%dx%d+%d+%d", &w, &h, &x, &y ) ;
This would make things much more platform-independent. We could also move
this code snippet up to around line 413 where the variable
"geometrySettings" is set. Any comments?
