I seem to be wedged whichever way I try to build freeglut
under linux mint 14 (64 bit). From the questions over on gf-developer it
is clear that many (most?) do not have trouble building fg; I hope
there is something simple that I am missing.
(1) Using fg2.8.1 if I run cmake -G 'Unix Makefiles' as
suggested as possibly useful from fg-developer, I get:
CMake Error: The source directory "/,,,/freeglut-2.81." does not appear
to contain CMakelists.txt
Specify --help etc..
(2) If I download the trunk via svn and (try to) follow the unix
instructions in README.cmake, after installing some bits and pieces from
its comments, and run cmake . things come to a halt with:
CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they
are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the
[followed by a long list of targets which are linked by said library.]
My OpenGL experience to date is much like this, just when I think I have
what is needed up pops a message to point to another bit I don't have.
Is there some way to grab all of it and be done with this iteration, do
Thx for any and all advice about how to proceed from here on either
Cheers /Greg Bennett
