Gentlemen,

Is there any call for support for multiple joysticks in "freeglut"?

Subject: [OpenGLUT-devel] Multiple Joysticks with OpenGLUT

I've been doing some minor refinement to the
OpenGLUT joystick handling - and came across
something interesting.

When multiple joysticks are detected, OpenGLUT
will report all of the buttons and axes for
all of the joysticks.  The application has no
way of knowing which joystick the information
is for, apart from possibly assuming that
they arrive in 010101.. sequence.

I've modified OpenGLUT to only invoke the
callback for the *first* detected joystick
(/dev/js0 on Linux), rather than all joysticks.

I hope this doesn't affect anyone trying to
support multiple joysticks.

Nigel
