Moved from our bugzilla item 1293,
"automated/unattended install if
target disk/PC meets requirements":

"Another wish for install is the possibility to operate in batch mode without user interaction, when all requirements are fulfilled"

In FreeDOS beta 9.5, fdisk/format is already skipped if
C: is found to exist as far as I know. The wish here
(bug 1293) is related to checking for free disk spacce,
which is explained in (closed) bug 1162.
(Blair Campbell wrote 2006-08-02: The installer now
checks for free disk space)

*Summary*

The installer guides the user, but it will not
do destructive things like partitioning and
formatting without asking the user. So for an
unattended install, the user has to use some
not yet existing modified installer. Such a
modified installer would also automatically
reboot and automatically eject the cdrom etc.
