Question about Rendering

  • Hi, first off, I just wanted to thank you for making this piece of software. I am not a developer, so I cannot really leverage the source or understand exactly what's going on behind the scenes, but to be honest I have found through experience that the rendering engine behind Fractron is lightyears faster than Apophysis on my ATI card (assuming this is because of your custom CUDA / OpenGL communication), and the renders just look monumentally smoother than what I can get from Apophysis.

    I just have one question for you, is there a way to render to disk at higher resolutions? When I increase the output resolution to something around 3500x2000 pixel range, the engine crashes. I would love to be able to render using Fractron at these resolutions. Is this possible at all? Thank you generously for any help or suggestions.
