The FOSDEM name is indeed trademarked.
Please always use capitals.
We did this to protect the name and reputation, so if you build a
schedule application for the conference you are allowed to use the
name and logo.
What we ask in return is that, in the spirit of the conference, you
publish the source code of the application.
If you decide to turn this application into a cash-cow or into
something evil we keep all rights to revoke this permission of course
