My project at one point used the "files" tab to distribute its code as a zip. Since I've moved to using Git, I've removed the zip files from the project. However, the project summary page still shows the old, removed file as the download link, clicking on which generates an error and takes you to the (empty) files tab.

I doubt this is intended behavior, and it would likely prove a signficant obstacle to anyone who wished to download my project (not that anyone does anyway). Is there any way to reset the download button, and/or remove the Files tab entirely?

    Greetings,

We have a ticket to investigate the condition where removing the last file doesn't always trigger a rescan of the files space here: [allura:tickets:#6167]

That said, I've observed greater success with this if you use the Shell service or something like SFTP to remove the last file. That is, you can try as a workaround to re-add and re-remove the file using one of the above methods to try and get the file release system scan triggered with no files.
