No

The web server hosting nsound.sourceforge.net is missing the mysqlclient runtime libraries.

Symptoms include getting a MySQL error message from trac:

http://nsound.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/trac.cgi

A hack / workaround is documented here:

https://sourceforge.net/p/forge/community-docs/Migrating%20Trac%20from%20Hosted%20Apps/?limit=25&page=3#f53e

The web server needs the mysql client runtime installed properly.

Okay, I think this is the situation.

The shell accounts (at least for me) is Cent OS 5.X while the webserver is Cent OS 6.X.

The shell account is missing the Python development package (Missing Python.h) so pip install MySQLdb fails to compile.

When using a precompile MySQLdb for CentOS 5, installing / deploying Trac succeeds. However, on the webserver (CentOS 6) the MySQLdb module can't find the CentOS 5.X mysql runtime libraries.

To resolve the situation, I think shell accounts should be created on CentOS 6 servers.

There are indeed plans to get this all sorted out in preparation for the Hosted Apps Retirement, I'm escalating this to our operations team so we can track work on this.

How much $ do I have to contribute to fix this issue within the next few months?

We've evaluated Trac and its viability for use under Project web and we've determined that we will not be making any changes to support this as a platform. In other words, using Trac is going to fall under the third party application policy for Project web. This essentially means, you're welcome to install and use if you like, but we're not able to provide support for that.
