As the support request is already closed, I have to comment here, in a new thread.
The build instructions in the README do not contain the detailed instructions needed to create the configure-script for Foobillardplus. Unfortunately the procedure is non-standard (if there is something like a standard) and I would never have figured it out on my own.
Finally, to really compile the program, I still had to make minor changes as my SDL header files are in a sub-directory "SDL" in /usr/include. There are two headers and two *.c files which create compile-errors, when I follow the procedure, proposed in the previous discussion of the support request.
All I did was to change the include-statemens to <SDL/SDL_net.h> and <SDL/SDL_mixer.h>, as I do not know what is needed to alter the project-configuration appropriately. At least, now I have a running Foobillardplus of release 112 !
The README now *does* contain the necessary instructions since revision 113.
This will work !
