I > can only seem to look it up by the encoding hex, but not the glyph id > (referenced in the cmap and loca tables for TrueType fonts) I think (not completely sure) if you select Encoding -> Reencode -> Glyph Order, you will get glyphs ordered by their GID's, then clicking on any glyph will show its ID in the statusbar (the first number), and typing any number in View -> Goto will go to the glyph with that ID. This have side effects though, if you re-encode back to Unicode or (whatever encoding you were using) un-encoded glyphs will be re-ordered according to their IDs and the original ordering will be lost (if it was different).
