I am trying to install FMaps on a RH7.0 system, postgresql 7.0.2.
I checked the source code out from the sourceforge CVS repository
tonight. When I try to build geoobj, the following files are not in the
postgresql directory. I have all three rh packages, postgresql,
postgresql-devel and postgresql-server installed.
On rpmfind.net, only the mandrake and polish(ed) rpms, version 7.0.3 for
the postgresql-devel were returned on a search for
/usr/include/pgsql/access/gist.h and the files weren't anywhere on my
I noticed that the screen shot looks like a mandrake desktop. What
versions of postgresql is this program compatable with? What rpms/linux
distributions have people had sucess with?
I was able to uninstall the RH packages, then dl/install the mandrake
ones, (postgresql and postgresql-devel) but they didn't install an init
scrip on my system, and I'd rather not mess around with setting all that
up by hand. I am familiar with running RH's postgresql installs on RH7.0
and RH6.2. The build of geoobj did work with the mandrake rpms, since
those three header files are installed.
