We wrote a program who is using gtk for a touchscreen computer. When the program is called from a linux shell, it opens a window with some entries. When clicking in those entries, the florence keyboard appears. However, when the desktop is 'xfce4' (version 4.6.2), florence will type it's output to the linux shell instead of the entry. When using gnome instead of xfce, florence types in the entry as requested. Since Gnome is taking more memory than xfce, we would prefer to avoid to run the program on this desktop.
Should we install something in order to make Florence run properly with xfce? Or is there another desktop environment on which Florence would have the expected behavior for this case?
Thanks for your help,
