In practice, I believe we have not simulated the errors on the TC, so telling the autopilot to fly in wing leveller mode will meet your needs; at least, until we get around to implementing those errors as well (grin). In a real light plane, the pilot is expected to check and adjust the DG every ten minutes or so to remove the drift. Normally, if you're trying to go in a straight line for extended distances (100nm or so), you'll be doing it in conjunction with navigation systems anyway, and therefore using the "NAV" mode on the autopilot. That works in FlightGear too. |
