Hello.

I have a question regarding gaps.

I ripped a CD which has no gaps between the tracks (the songs continue each other).
When playing them I get a short gap (a fraction of a second).

I tried to rip using two programs: EAC and Winamp.
I tried to listen using Windows media player and using my Onkyo receiver.

The result is the same.

I want to note that when ripping to WMA lossless using Windws Media Player 11, the playback is gapless.

How can I rip and playback to FLAC without any gap.

Thanks,
Elad P.

If you check the Onkyo forums you will find that this is a major issue with their receivers. They don't care about gapless audio. I have a Denon and it plays gapless audio as I have already tested with Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon.

The issue is the media player, not the codec. The media players need to buffer the file to provide gapless audio.

This was one of the reasons I purchased my Denon and not the Onkyo receiver that I was looking at.
