Hello
There is a problem with the flac frontend when encoding
files in a folder with a '.' in the name. It places the output
file in the parent folder, with wrong filename as you can
see in the text below:
Using BeOS, and therefore no extension on the wave file.
$ flac "/Data/musik/album/The Soundtrack of Our Lives -
Origin Vol. 1/Track 12"
flac 1.1.1, Copyright (C) 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004

options: -P 4096 -b 4608 -m -l 8 -q 0 -r 3,3
ERROR: output file /Data/musik/album/The Soundtrack
of Our Lives - Origin Vol.flac already exists, use -f to
override

As I wrote I'm using BeOS, not Windows. The problem is not
with that Windows Frontend you are referring to, but with the
command line frontend of the FLAC library that comes with
the source package. Please read the whole bug report...
The problem seems to be that flac (command line app)
assumes input files have a ".wav" extension which is not
always the case.
