I've always used the elipses (elipsis [elipses plural case], so you're=20= correct), which I think looks a little better, and I believe is defined=20= in the Aqua HIG as being the prefered method. > Do you all think that we should build some sort of ruleset for the > translators to make translation easier (otherwise leave it :) and > make Fire more consistent across the different language? What kind of rules exactly? I think most of us have been going by=20 something relatively close to the following: 1. Translate contextually 2. If something doesn't fit size-wise, feel free to nudge it a little=20= bit 3. If you spot an error in the English version, or something won't get=20= translated, send a message to a developer. I guess I think that we've all been working by close to the same rules=20= going English-->whatever, so I'm not totally sure what kind of rules=20 you might mean. > Ok, here's my original question to the English maintainer again. :) I would suggest putting in a constant there like we have for "@ has=20 logged on" and Fire replaces that with a string. We could do the same=20= there. Or, perhaps better would be to reword it entirely (as you=20 suggested): In version 0.30.a, Fire changed the account information formatting. As=20= such, you will need to re-enter your account information (username and=20= password) for each service you use. Strange things may occur if you=20 switch between this version of Fire, and versions previous to 0.30.a Matthew Stuckwisch [AIM/MSN]{GuifaSwimmer} | [Yahoo!]{SapphireTree} | [ICQ]{137477701} [IRC]{guifa}(esperNET / GamesNet) |=A0[E-mail]{gu...@ma...}= |
