First of all, Fire is free software. It always has been. We have given others permission to distribute it with a bundle of utilities (truthfully, under our release license, they can do so without asking us), but we don't receive any payment from them. It is freely downloadable from http://fire.sourceforge.net There have been some issues with some phantom yahoo buddies in the past. Two things must be examined first. Edit one of these buddies and look at the accounts tab. If the buddy is blocked, then creating these buddies is Fire's way of tracking blocked buddies. I believe Alan's suggestion of running version 1.5.4 should solve this problem. If running version 1.5.4 does not solve your problem, you are welcome to try out a beta of version 2.0 which handles buddy list synchronization with the server in a better manner. It may solve your problem if other doesn't. It is available at http:// fire.sourceforge.net/Prerelease/snapshot.dmg - Graham Fire Development Team http://fire.sf.net On Nov 22, 2005, at 10:15 PM, Mark Roy wrote: > I signed onto Fire after several months of inactivity, and I found > 30 or > more Yahoo people on my buddy list.
