We have Rendezvous support, hmm? ^^ Very nice, but a bit of an issue...=20=
I can see users on iChat fine, but they cannot see me. Just an=20
incomplete implementation, or?
One thing I'd really appreciate is the ability to make a Rendezvous=20
group, rather than have those buddies in the *** Default Group ***.
When these buddies sign off their names remain on the list, but as=20
offline... do you plan to keep it this way? A bit less than ideal, I=20
think, but certainly not a deal-breaker. ^^ Thanks for the great work,=20=
all of you! ^^
The little stuff... first is there any fast/easy way to reset all=20
window positions and sizes to default? A menu for that would be GREAT!=20=
Also... I'd still really like a way for away buddies to be hidden=20
(maybe a disclosure triangle within a group?). I use sort-by-status,=20
but I still would like to have them take up one line when I don't=20
really want to see them.
Also, a way to create a second pane at the bottom (like the=20
conversation browser at the top), and put a single buddy group (or=20
maybe don't limit it to one?) in it would be great. For example, I=20
could have all of my list in the main are, but the bottom pane I could=20=
put my Rendezvous group in, or a specific group of important people, to=20=
always have them visible (my list is really long, some people I want to=20=
see w/o scrolling).
Just ideas.... again, thank you all!

The rendezvous support is rather new, and depending on when you checked
it out of CVS it may be in a rather incomplete state. It appears that
anonymous CVS does have the latest version of the code, so it may just
be a bug in my code :-) Over the next few days I am going to look at
moving from my custom implementation to Andrew Wellington's libezv for
the Rendezvous support so it is quite likely that this will fix your

It's definitely not desirable, but simply removing the buddy from the
list when they go offline is also less than ideal. This would make it
impossible to permanently customize things such as their displayed
name, notifications, and similar items. What is really needed is the
ability to mark a buddy as being "transient", meaning that it shouldn't
be saved, but make it possible to change these transient buddies into
persistent ones should the user desire.
On the whole, Rendezvous support is still a little shaky but it should
improve over the coming days.
Cheers for the feedback,
