I am adding transparency to the buddy list and chat windows, and I have run into the following problem. I had to add a new preference key or two, which is easy enough, but where can do I init this key in the case where it is not in the user's plist? I have tried putting it in MainController initialize, but that didn't work. The problem I have is the way the code is set up, if the value of the alpha is 0 (which it is if the key is not set), then the window is completely transparent. I don't think that users will be too keen on the idea of the updated Fire with windows that are completely transparent so that you can not see them at all. ---------------------------------------------- Graham Booker Texas A&M University gb...@ta... I found the problem. There was an error in the MainController when it sets up the defaults. It placed a number in the dictionary when there should have been an object. I have checked in the fix.
