More of a question than a feature request. Many current
routers have UPNP features for applications like MSN
(file transfer) so that ports don't have to be
forwarded or triggered. From my usage of Fire, I am
guessing that UPnP is not supported in the current 1.51
or 1.52. Is there any plans to make this happen?

Surprisingly, I didn't see any other requests for this
feature, so please don't flame me too hotly if I'm
wrong and it's already there, and I've just
misconfigured something.

There are multiple open source UPnP implementations on
SourceForge.net, although I do not know enough about
Mac programming to know if these would work.

Since Apple has focused their efforts on Rendezvous/Bonjour, there has
been little interest in moving the Microsoft UPnP implementation into the
    mainstream of MacOS applications.

All that being said, there is a great UPnP library on sourceforge that
could probably be ported to Mac OS X, which would give the capabilities
you are asking for. The URL for that project is:

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/upnp/
