I recently installed the new Eclipse Helios 3.6 x64 Windows Version. The first thing I wanted to do there is to install the FindBugs Plugin via the Marcetplace. After the installation I restarted my eclipse but under Windows -> Preferences there is no FindBugs, also there is no FingBugs perspective??
Steps I've done:
- unpacked eclipse-java-helios-win32-x86_64.zip
- started it witch a new/fresh workspace folder
- installed the plugin via marcetplace
- restarted the eclipse
- no FindBugs to be found in preferences or the properties of a test project??
I Think I've found my "mistake" - I've unpacked the Zip file to "C:\Program Files" und Win7. Perhaps eclipse does not have the permission to write in that directory? Unpacked it to another folder "C:\Program Files 2nd" all works find?
