FINA VERSION 3.4.2f ANNOUNCEMENT - 28/10/2009

Patch install / migrate Procedure:
Note that these instructions assume that FinA 3.4.2e is installed and configured.

1. Stop FinA client
2. Stop FinA server
3. Backup the system including database
4. Run Migrate scripts for database (or create new empty database if you do not have previous database and/or would like to have empty database)
5. Configure database connection string (name, user name and password) as it is stated in the installation and configuration manual.
   You also can also configure the old file(appropriate for your database server):
   <fina-server install folder>\server\jboss-4.2.3\server\default\deploy\oracle-ds.xml
<fina-server install folder>\server\jboss-4.2.3\server\default\deploy\mssql-ds.xml
<fina-server install folder>\server\jboss-4.2.3\server\default\deploy\mysql-ds.xml
6. download new jar files (fina-gui,fina-server)
7. copy fina-gui.jar to <fina-client install folder>\gui\lib directory and if it exists overwrite the existing file.
8. copy fina-server.jar to <fina-server install folder>\server\jboss-4.2.3\server\default\deploy and if the file exists overwrite the existing file.
9. download new messages_en_US.properties and messages_FR_fr.properties and copy them to <fina-server install folder>\server\jboss-4.2.3\server\default\conf if these messages exists overwite them.
10. Start Database Server (If stopped)
11. Start FinA server
12. Start FinA client

Note that by default:

• folder: <fina-client install folder> is C:\fina-client\
• folder <fina-server install folder> is C:\fina-server\
