What happens exactly when an app is black- or white-listed by the ffdshow compatibility manager with the option to report to Internet enabled? Does it get automatically included only in the *next* ffdshow update? Or is the list shared online and accessed whenever the compatibility manager runs?

I have unexpected interaction between my GStreamer-based app under Windows and ffdshow. The ffdshow compatibility manager reports my app wants to load ffdshow. It is unlikely GStreamer would actually use ffdshow codecs, since it embeds its own ffmpeg (libav, actually) based codec modules, but it does however use DirectShow renderer filters.

Can someone explain how such an interaction between my app and ffdshow is possible then, and perhaps suggest ways to mitigate it?
