ok, installing latest FFDSHOW 18th january 08 version and onward, even feb 22 version , and installing the latest nvidia 32 bit 169.25 WHQL graphics driver is causing some issues.
full screen playback is the major suffering, the pictures are jumpy, sometimes a frame will freeze for a second, wile sound continues on. change to windowed mode and the playback goes to perfect, no matter what size the window 1/4 of desktop, to a complete window( not full screen) and its 100% beautifull FFDSHOW playback goodness. just full screen is suffering.
the same files playback 100% in VLC media player using a differenct codec at full screen.
ok, so I disable the FFDSHOW for all xvid, divx, and mp4 videos, allowing metroska (spelling sorry) and playback returns to perfect at full screen.
I also re enable the xvid ect in FFdshow, so it is told to decode them again, and rolled back the nvidia drivers to previous WHQL, and this fixes it also. so definate conflict going on, I just hope you and NV can sit down and work it out, FFdshow is the best codec pack i have ever used, and NVidia is best GFX ever used, so they should get along
this isnt a cpu utilization issue or slow system
does it on both systems, a quad core 2 2.4, 3 gig ram, vista, mce
and also a amd x2 2.6, 2 gig ram
both systems have nvidia, 8500GT, 8800GTS 640 (G90), 8800GTS 512mb (G92)
I submitted this a month ago only to have it deleted, if you want more proof please email me, and I will get fraps and record it or something, as this is a serious problem I cant watch anything with your codec at full screen, all other stuff is fine, i can watch recorded tv fine, and anything under VLC, and DivX player is fine, just frustrating because i got media centre so 1 program can do it all, I am willing to help you guys but help me please. please as i said email me if you want more
I await your response eagerly
this is also a good opertunity to show me your trouble shooting ability, if you provide a good service, I will give a good donation once this is fixed.
also what is FFdshow - tryouts???? is that a new version of the codec? do we use that one from now on????
