Where are the VFW encoders in the SVN builds?

    In ffdshow_beta7_rev3154_20091209, you get a wide variety of codecs to choose from when encoding videos with Video For Windows.  But in newer SVN builds, they all seem to have vanished, leaving only Huffyuv, Uncompressed, MJPEG, etc.
    What's the story on this?  Were there legal threats?  Did support break at some point and remain unfixed?

    And I got the same question, I download ffdshow-tryout source via SVN, Compile it by vs2010 32bit xp-sp3, all is ok, ffdshow.ax is output though I regist the ax by regsvr32 command, In ffdshow video encoder filter only MJPEG, Huffyuv,Huffyuv(FFMpeg variant), FFV1, DV ,Uncompressed. and how i can compile the source so that i can using ffdshow video encoder filter to encode mpeg-2 and x264 ? Thanks

    They have been removed because they were buggy, outdated, unmaintained, and obsolete.

    If you want to encode H.264 you should use x264VFW codec.
    If you want to encode MPEG-4 you should use the Xvid codec.
