Dear Fez Community, First of all, thank you for helping me with my previous request. I have 3 small questions I hope someone can answer or point me to relevant documentation: 1. How to give a user (non-admin) rights to edit/create records? I created a Fez User account, for example testuser. In the collection security settings I select testuser at Fez User(s): for all actions (starting with Creator), except the first two: Lister/viewer. Now when I log in as testuser, I still can’t create or edit records in the collection. I get this error: Error: No workflows defined for Create This is Create for iss:7 Is there a setting I am missing? 2. How to add or remove fields from a document type? For example, if I want to remove the Phonetic title field in my Working paper form. How do I remove this field (non DC required). And, how do I add a new field to a document type, for example "Running time in minutes" (for a video)? 3. Is there a setting on record level to indicate: please don’t harvest this record? We want only our records with a full text document to be harvested. How can we realise this? Is there a setting on record level or a configuration setting? Kind regards Peter van Helden Institute of Social Studies Please refer to: http://www.iss.nl/content/view/full/2873 for ISS’ email disclaimer. |

Hi Peter 1. How to give a user (non-admin) rights to edit/create records? >I created a Fez User account, for example testuser. >In the collection security settings I select testuser at Fez >User(s): for all actions (starting with Creator), except the first >two: Lister/viewer. >Now when I log in as testuser, I still can't create or edit records >in the collection. >I get this error: >Error: No workflows defined for Create >This is Create for iss:7 >Is there a setting I am missing? Go to Manage Workflow Templates in the Admin menu, then add the Creator/Editor roles to the appropriate workflows (e.g. Create Record, Update Record and any other workflows you want those roles to do). >2. How to add or remove fields from a document type? >For example, if I want to remove the "Phonetic title" field in my >Working paper form. How do I remove this field (non DC required). You can either uncheck the "enabled" option in the HTML Match Editor for this field (don't forget to uncheck any corresponding attributes also). Or click the Delete button. If you choose to do the former, the field is retained in the XML; if the latter, the field doesn't display in the XML. Since the Phonetic Title field is a subloop, another way to delete the field, along with any attributes, is to delete the subloop element itself (click the subloop icon, then scroll down to the bottom in the HTML Match Editor, check Phonetic Title, then hit Delete). >And, how do I add a new field to a document type, for example >"Running time in minutes" (for a video)? Assuming a suitable MODS field exists (in this case, I'd use physical description!extent), click the field, then configure the settings in the HTML Match Editor. Usually this would involve configuring the Field Type, Title, Label, Display Order, Search Key fields. Ensure Enabled and Show in View are checked. Depending on Field Type selected, the last third of the screen may need to be configured also, although not if you choose Field Type=text input/textarea. >3. Is there a setting on record level to indicate: please don't >harvest this record? >We want only our records with a full text document to be harvested. >How can we realise this? Is there a setting on record level or a >configuration setting? Deferring to the UQ team here, but it is my understanding that all published records which don't have any security applied will be harvested. Hope this helps. bern >Kind regards >Peter van Helden >Institute of Social Studies > >Please refer to: http://www.iss.nl/content/view/full/2873 for ISS' >email disclaimer. >------------------------------------------------------------------------- >This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge >Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes >Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world >http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ >_______________________________________________ >Fez-users mailing list >Fez...@li... >https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fez-users Bernadette Houghton, Access & Data Librarian Deakin University Geelong Victoria 3217 Australia.
