I'm not sure if I'm having a problem with the XSD HTML editor or if I am using it wrong. I'm trying to clone an XSD (Book) and am following the guide here (which is a bit more descriptive than the wiki): http://adrresources.coalliance.org/wiki/index.php/Cloning_XSDs I've come across a couple of problems: 1) An error in the class.xsd_html_match.php a. Christiaan fixed some of the issue there, but there appears to be more instances of the column names quoted inside the SQL statements. This was breaking the clone function. On my local code I've removed the quotes and the cloning works fine now. 2) Editing fields in the XSD HTML matching editor. a. I clone the 3 Book elements via the Admin interface (Fedora OXML: Book, MODS: Book and OAI DC:Book). b. When I try to associate the new elements together it is not behaving as I expected. Looking at the left hand panel, I can see that digitalObject\objectProperties\property\VALUE has an XSDMF ID Reference since there is the appropriate icon. If I click on this icon the right hand panel does not update i.e. the panel refreshes, but the XSDMF ID Reference radio button is not selected. c. I then create a new XSD element of type XSDMF ID Reference and direct it to my MODS item, following the instructions from the link before. d. Once I refresh the left panel I now see that there are 2 icons for XSDMF ID References, clicking of either of them yields no results. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if something is broken in my install. I'm running code from the default repo, updated as of this afternoon. Any pointers would be appreciated. Cheers, Conor |

Hi all again: When using the existing xsd displays for fedora obhjects everything is OK. So maybe the problem comes from the clone process. We couldn't get cloning to work at all - there has been a regression at some point in the past year or two that broke it. It might be possible in the mean time to get around it by exporting the XSDs you want to clone, renaming the display names in the exported XML, and re-importing them. Hi Luis, I was wondering if you could provide a few more details of the approach you took? I have tried exporting the XSDs I'm interested in and re-naming them, but it appears to be a bit more complicated than this to get them to work. When I re-import the re-named XSDs they have very little data associated with them. What do you mean by "creating the foxml->html from scratch"? Hi Conor: I tell you the way to clone a foxml display- The problem comes because the system tries to duplicate a key in table: So: export the foxml xsd , the modify---- e.g. xdis_title="Conference Poster" to xdis_title="cloneConference Poster" then replacve all: xsdmf_id=" to ---e.g. xsdmf_id="22 save the file and import it . You´ll see this works. I hope find and modify this bug in the near future. Hi all: I need to create a schema with, say 2 countries Spain and Portugal , and when selecting one of them another combo box with the matching cities of this country. In addition, I would like create the matching xsd->html in order to get this in the form. I don´t know if the way to do this is using the multiple combo box, and if this is so, how implement it in the multiple combo box form. Is there any example, or suggestion to create and implement a such schema in fez? Thanks in advance. Luis |

Hi Luis The best way to do this is by using the Dual Multiple Combo Box. See the attached screenshots for examples. You might need to update your fez codebase to get this control, depending on your revision. Hi Christiaan: Finally, I think the best solution for my problem is define a controlled vocabulary. Is the most flexible tool to select and select inside the selected.
