I am new to Fez, and I am trying to install it on Windows XP. I am
following the instructions in:
In Section "Installed PHP5", the 3rd bullet point says:
Copied php.ini-recommended to php.ini
But there is no php.ini-recommended. However, there is php.ini. Assuming
this is then ok as it is, I proceed to:
"Installed JHove", where the 4th bullet says "Updated jhove.conf", but I
don't have jhove.conf.
Then, in Section "Installed Fez", it says "Updated config.inc.php", but
I don't have a file with that name. I don't know where to put all those
updates, which seem rather critical.
When I then surf to http://localhost/fez/setup/ , it looks like this:
Index of /fez/setup
When I click on index.php, I get this screen:
Welcome to the Fez installation script. Everything looks ready to go.
Proceed to first step.
When I proceed, I need to provide some information:
Application path C:/apache-serv/fez/
Relative path /
Database type MySQL
Database host localhost
Database name fedora32 (this is the database I set up
previously for fedora, which seems to work fine)
Database username JOE
Database password LION
And when I press Enter, I get a message to the effect I need some
patience, and the next screen never returns.
One more thing is unclear to me: Should my folder c:\apache-serv\fez
contain as subfolders: css, documentation, exports,.... or should it
contain a folder
called fez-2.1_rc3 (which in turn contains css, documentation, etc).
I would much appreciate your help. With kind regards,
