Kai,

We might do this with  RELS-EXT  that will likely be indexed (for faster listing).  Similar to the way we do authors though we don't have author records yet, we will probably implement an author profile record type soon that will allow a listing of related works as well.  It'll all happen wehn we get custom views sorted out.

Fez has been developed with Community/Collection structure enforced for the sake of just being able to get it off the ground.  Arbitrary traversal of topologies will come later...

Hello Fez users,

we can map books and book chapters to individual records (proceedings/in proceedings, journal/article, …). As far as I can see that relationship is not represented in Fez/Fedora, i.e. there is no way to navigate from the book chapter record to the book itself (other than doing an advanced search – which is a lot of copy-past for journals).

Am I missing something? If not, why not add some advanced properties to the HTML mapping to specify parent-child relationships. Building up a correct Fedora RELS-EXT relationship is too complex, I guess.

How do you think to handle such relationships in the future?

Cheers, Kai
