Telugu Festival 0.3.3 Minor Release

festival-te is a Telugu text-to-speech system based on Festival TTS synthesizer.

This minor release ensures that channel
encoding is set correctly when using festival with gnome-speech library.
This is achieved by setting the coding parameter in voice
description to UTF-8. It is to be used with gnome-speech > 0.4.0

festival-te is a Telugu text-to-speech system based on Festival TTS synthesizer.

This minor release fixes a bug which was causing the package to work only on Debian and updates the install script.

Telugu Festival Text-to-Speech System 0.3 Released

festival-te is a Telugu text-to-speech system based on Festival TTS synthesizer. It accepts Telugu Unicode text (in UTF-8 encoding) as input and speaks out the text. It can be used along with a screen reader like gnopernicus which assists an illiterate by reading out the text on the screen. The package provides modules for text and lexical analysis of Telugu language and defines phoneset for Telugu language. It also provides a diphone voice database of a male speaker. It can be used to easily prepare text-to-speech systems for other Indian languages.
