discussion</a>, using MTDate in a channel element of an
MT template is a bad idea. It makes a feed look like it
has changed when only the date element has changed.

Here's a revised template. The only change is the
channel's pubDate element. I've tested it in MT 2.661
and MT 3.0 and produced valid feeds.
