I see that the gfindObjects service is based on API-A's findObjects. We previously have an issue with the API-A that it doesn't provide a "startRecord" type parameter out-of-box for navigating to a particular record (page) within a result set. This is an essential requirement in terms typical users experience in resource discovery.
For this purpose, we've modified the Fedora API-A wsdl (2.0, 2.1Beta) and added additional operation "findObjectScroll" as a stop gap solution. I noticed a DEF-XWS project have undertaken similar exercise.
Does gfindObjects now provide this requirement? And what's the group's view on adopting the SRW/U which is fast becoming the de facto search protocol in the digital library domain?

A new version of my proposal for a Search Service is ready, please see
It links to a downloadable .war file, which you can use to index and
search your own Fedora repository.
I look forward to your feedback and participation in this development.
