We have formed a Preservation Working Group which has membership from both the core Fedora development team and the wider community. Ron Jantz from Rutgers is chairing the group. The working group had its first meeting on November 9 in Charlottesville, Virginia and will meet again in early January. The working group will specify preservation services and core repository features that are most needed by the community. Some of these will be developed by the core Fedora development team and others by collaborators.
We will publish more information on this soon.

Subject: [Fedora-users] fedora and preservation
I read about preservation service in Fedora's service framework.
I would like to know what kind of preservation services are implemented or under development in Fedora.
