Thanks Steven,

So to clarify, dest should be fail2ban@blocklist.de, sender I thought was the sender of the email and the registered address.
Then in the blocklist_de email= should be the registered email?
I will try this...

Should I also keep the regular ssh [ssh-iptables] enabled?

Thanks!

Hello all,

I have installed the latest fail2ban and setup a blocklist.de account.
In my below configuration, blocklist isn't getting emailed.

My config:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
[ssh-blocklist]

enabled  = true
filter   = sshd
action   = iptables[name=SSH, port=ssh, protocol=tcp]
           sendmail-whois[name=SSH, dest=My@emailaddress.net, sender=System@emailaddress.net, sendername="Fail2Ban"]
           blocklist_de[email="fail2ban@blocklist.de", apikey="MYAPIKEY", service=%(filter)s]
logpath  = /var/log/secure
maxretry = 4
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I also tried adding to my existing SSH configuration the below line within actions:
           blocklist_de[email="fail2ban@blocklist.de", apikey="MYAPIKEY", service=%(filter)s]

Under no circumstances does blocklist get emailed.

Joey,

The email option must be the email address that associated with your server as per registered with the blocklist.de website.

Joey,

The sendmail action settings can be whatever, usually the dest being your email address , such you can get an alert when a ban takes place. For the blocklist_de action, the email option has to be the address registered with your server on blocklist.de. You don't need to have both jails enabled.
