Why not consider making a persistent ban list, I have done this for certain rules and each time you block something it's added to the list, then when you restart fail2ban it loads this list first giving you the same affect as indefinitely blocked.

I have implimented a honeypot and a CBLOCK blacklist in fail2ban. Obviously I'd like the Ban to be perminant on both chains, but -1 doesnt work as a bantime.

Simple question. Whats the maximum bantime supported?

Another question would be, are there plans to impliment and perminant bantime?
