When I start FTNoIR using Pointtracker with my PS3 Eye, it uses 11-14% CPU (Phenom II X4 955 @3.5Ghz) which is quite high already but when I press the keyboard shortcut to Stop it, with the Engine Tracker setting on Stop Engine, it increases to a massive 30%.
If I change this setting to Keep Tracking however, it stays at 11-14%, which clearly doesn't make much sense.

I have noticed this too on my unlocked Tri-core CPU (running four cores). I find the CPU usage quite low when point tracking is running, and compared to Facetracking which I used once for a test it's very low.
But CPU usage does go high when it's paused.
Have you tested the CPU usage with Face API paused and unpaused?
I would try it myself, but the Face API on my setup no-longer works for whatever reason.
Which is fine, because I never used face tracking for serious gaming.
