we're using lapack in a java app. we use swig to generate jni wrappers around mkl and acml (and could support others the same way) and then we provide a consistent interface to the different implementations. it's workable, but results in some duplication of code, and we only expose a subset of blas/lapack. mtj is a project that uses jlapack as it's abstraction, and provides an nni (native numeric interface) to allow backing jlapack with a native implementation. this is the approach that i've been advocating, either using jlapack or mtj/jlapack (probably the latter). but recent versions of mtj removes the nni source, and mentions migrating it to jlapack. but i haven't found any mention of nni in the jlapack/f2j site or code. 1. do you know anything about nni in jlapack, either good or bad or how to obtain it ? is there a cvs/svn branch that has this code ? 2. i have the jlapack javadocs that netlib/f2j provides, but they are class oriented instead of method oriented (i'd like code completion dialog to show the comments). how are the javadocs ( http://netlib.sandia.gov/java/f2j/jlapack-0.8-javadoc.tgz ) generated ? are they an output from f2j ? copy-and-pasted by hand ? thanks seth |
