Using Exult's default settings, the "respawn rate" appears to be much higher than the original game. I noticed it on the Isle of Fire in Forge of Virtue - I would kill a series of rats and spiders, only to have them immediately reappear if I walked back, less than a few seconds later.
I'm not sure about the exact internal mechanics Exult uses, but if I remember correctly enemies would respawn only when a chunk of the game world "unloaded". It seems as though the "unload' happens much too fast in Exult, and as a result changes the gameplay mechanics. It's extremely frustrating, especially with slimes.
Totally agreed. I noticed that the strongest in the Isle of fire with the golems always respwning in the test of courage, but it also often happens that even without killing, that a second on respawns. So let's say There's a dragon around the corner that you can't reach yet, if you go bit off the screen and then come back there might 2 of them instead of one. That way you can also make a lot of money easily in the beginning, by killing the respawning dragons again and again and selling their gems.
I 'm trying to attach a savegame, where next to the throne of the guardian cave the fellowship members and pirates always keep respawning in a when I walk around the corner!
Like I've said before, Exult is just as horrible as the original. This is a duplicate of other several feature requests.
