I dual boot windows and linux and suspend to disk (hibernate) both operating systems. I can then switch between the two without having to shut them down. What I would like to know is what is the effect if I do this with ext2fsd installed? I suspect that I need to unmount the file system on one or both operating systems. Has anyone experience or advise as to what to do?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Correct, you need to unmount the filesystem before hibernating either operating system.

You'd likely need to create a script for this for each operating system. I'm not aware of a way to automate this in Windows, but I'm sure there is a way.
