I tried installing the ext2fsd application under Windows Vista (64-bit) Ultimate today. The application works fine - however the driver is blocked from running as it is unsigned. Even if I install the software as an administrator Vista still won't let me run the driver.

Any ideas of a work around?

  • Same problem here. Stupid Windows.

Run "bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS" as an administrator in the command prompt and reboot. For me it let the software run and the drive with its assigned letter shows up, so I'm assuming the driver is loaded, but Vista tells me the drive needs to be formatted when I try to open it (a problem which happened with the ext2-fs driver because the inode size was larger than 128). Hopefully it's something I did wrong and not the driver, because this is my last hope.
