We are currently running eXist on an in-house 64-bit Windows Vista box: 3.16GHz Intel Dual Core CPU 8GB RAM. Performance is good but we now wish to move eXist to a Linux OS. I realise this is a bit of a, 'how long is piece of string?' question, but can anyone give any guidance or tips for spec'ing a Linux box to provide similar performance. Note: this will be a leased box in a data center somewhere. The application is mainly running Lucene queries on c.10000 XML docs, each about 500KB. Thanks and regards, Roy |
