I was thinking of making a little project to store log files that are
generated in an XML format. These files sizes can often be up to 30 MB
in size. So would performance be better if I process out the log
files so that every every item in the file is saved to eXist as its
own file - each approximately the same size and with the same number
of nodes in each file, or will it be better if the sizes and number of
nodes in the files can vary widely - i.e. one file will have thousands
of items while another one just a couple hundred.
I tend to like splitting the files into a bunch of little instances
for manageability reasons.
