As far as I know there's nothing similar to cluster segments and evmsd in LVM2. That was a very useful part of EVMS as it would guarantee no other server would ever recognize your SAN as usable storage without having quorum in the cluster and, with private containers, being the only server having it exported. That was a very useful part of the cluster I set up (still running 2.0.4 with some backported patches over time) and, if EVMS dies, it would be really nice that at least this feature gets incorporated in a different tool... IMHO the choice of GTK, Ncurses and CLI UIs was also a really nice feature although I'm comfortable with command-line tools... Out of curiosity would you have any recommendation on how to replace evmsd functions in a cluster now? - -- Thomas -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFI7iah6dZ+Kt5BchYRAsupAKC989tpJj7aVQA1JAKh6vJ79marrACfRNdx 4iNZYxHwZICd3hxewfrnluo= =pJ2e -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
