I would like to install the latest Yaws release, but would like to be
able to manage it as a deb package. Can anyone suggest a good way to do
I did search for an Ubuntu PPA, but did not find one. Has anyone
started one? Is there interest in having one?
I gave dpkg-buildpackage a quick try along with dh_make, but couldn't
get them to work. And I read briefly about checkinstall, but am not
sure it is the best way.
Or, alternatively, what are some suggested ways to manage an install
For reference, I'm running on Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 server.
Just thought I would ask on the Yaws list since it might be generally
useful for the community, and before I spend much more time on it myself.

I guess one way would be to get in contact with the yaws package maintainer
for Ubuntu, get hold of his-her build scripts and check them into yaws.
