(What was the final decision on charset from the recent email discussion?) Reading through the HTML 4.01 spec, I'm not convinced: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;"> might not work also (just a ';' added) since it claims "charset is an optional parameter". Or possibly the validator is broken for this case. Are there any major objections to, or arguments for, one of the above? -- Kevin |
