First, I recently updated to Mozilla 1.0... I had run everything from .9
up and had it autostart with the "Remember" setting in E fine. Mozilla
1.0 seems to have broken this... it never starts when I start E, even
though all the boxes are checked in it's "Remember" settings. Anyone
else have this problem? Anyone know of a solution?
Also, how do I add a background without using the legacy E-conf tool?

E version? I have trouble remembering settings sometimes with 0.16.5.
To make sure it works, I change the setting, then hit Apply and then
Okay, and then I close E using the Log Out menu option, because if I do
an X-kill using ctrl-alt-backspace, E forgets. You might also want to
restore the default remember settings (i.e., remember nothing), click
Okay (or maybe just Apply), then go back and reset them as desired.
This is in case E thinks your settings aren't really changed and so does
not update its configuration. (Worth a try.)

To add backgrounds I just copy or link them in
