Hmm, I think you can just put (vr-mode 1) in your .emacs if you want to start it automatically. I don't do that myself, since that means it will always load DNS when you start emacs. Instead, I use "voice commander" to voice-enable ALL the emacs commands, not just the ones in vr-mode. That way, I can just say "vr mode" and "activate buffer".
