Ticket modified by Jörg Lehrke at 2010/09/25 11:23 Tracking System: Bugs Category: Addressbook Version: Version 1.6.003 Status: Closed Resolution: None Completed: 0% Priority: 5 - medium Created By: István Pongrácz Assigned to: Jörg Lehrke Summary: #2055 - n_fn could not be updated after first time Hi, The problem is, when the 'n_fn' field got a value, never will be updated again, if somebody change the contact name. Steps to reproduce: Copy an existing contact and edit its name. The result will be that, when you edit the name of the contact, you will get the correct (new) value, but you will not get updated the displayed name. Note: I use Jörg's syncml extension, but this effect is independent of this, I checked. Comment by Jörg Lehrke at 2009/07/16 06:19: If the field n_fn is used in the vCard we can only use n_fn in eGW. n_fileas is not a official field. Comment by camel camel at 2009/07/16 00:43: i'm not sure, if this comment here is the right one, but i have seen, that n_fn will be used for syncing from EGW to outlook for "saveas" field in OL. but it should be EGW's "n_fileas" to outlook's "saveas" Comment by Jörg Lehrke at 2009/07/02 21:54: The update of n_fn is now enabled again in my new patch. Comment by István Pongrácz at 2009/07/02 19:10: Update: it is still exists. I use the syncml patchset from Jörg. It seems, this effect caused by the patch. Please reassign to Jörg, thank you. -------------------------- If I change the family name, given name etc., the full name never updated in the database, the changes are lost and I got the first version. In other words, the first version of the full name will be present forever. It is not possible to change, because it will never updated in the database, even when I edit the contact, I got the right full name in the form, but after Apply/Save it will be lost. I compared to an installation, which has no this patchset, it is working well. I hope I helped your work.
