I'm afraid the link doesn't work. > I suggest the following provisional schedule for the 1.4 release: > - feature freece and first RC: mid Oktober 2006 > - final release: mid November 2006 Well, I'd like to remind the core team that there was some disagreement about this same method last year before 1.2 was released. The usual way is to provide alfa or betas, then rc and then final releases. The socalled rc were used for testing with no features frozen, and there were too many (for a rc). According to the above, it looks like there will be no RC before freeze, which is good, but I think it would be good to have some beta release for testing and hear user suggestions before the first RC (where users shouldn't be able to suggest features or improvements). And even the sooner, the better, as long as you think you have reached an optimal development degree for testing. Personally, I have a couple of pending projects waiting to show a preview of the new features, and I have some suggestions that I'll expose soon in the devel list. Anyway, it's great news, and congratulations for your good work.
